Dr. Jerrold Gendler

Dr. Jerrold Gendler has recently celebrated his 30th year in the practice of cosmetic plastic surgery. He completed his plastic surgery training in 1969 at the prestigious Queen Victoria Hospital and Plastic Surgery Center in East Grinstead, Sussex, England, under the renowned, late, Mr. Percy Jayes, F.R.C.S. This center has trained some of the most famous plastic surgeons from all over the world, many in the USA, for the past 50 years.

On returning to America Dr. Gendler settled with his wife and two daughters in New Orleans, where he joined the renowned facialplastic surgeon Dr. Jack Anderson in practice. After one year he established the first outpatient cosmetic surgery center in the region -"New Images Cosmetic Surgery Center"and has provided cosmetic surgery to patients from all over the world.

Following the Hurricane Katrina disaster which struck the Gulf Coast Region in 2005, Dr. Gendler has relocated to the New York area and has re-established the New Images Cosmetic Surgery Center in Great Neck, Long Island where he is now offering his vast experience to the New York area.

Dr. Gendler is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and American Society of Liposuction Surgery.

Dr. Gendler is Board Certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and former Associate Member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Gendler was a pioneer in liposuction surgery, having been one of the first group of plastic surgeons to study with Dr. Gerard Illouz in Paris in1981, the founder of modern day liposuction surgery. He has lectured and written extensively throughout the world on his experiences.

Dr. Gendler has studied art and oil painting in Italy and France and paints in his spare time. He enjoys a full athletic life including skiing, golf and fly-fishing.
